Our Waharoa

Our waharoa was carved by Mark Davis and opened by the mana whenua, Ngāti Kuia, in 2022. Rākaihautu, a chief of great importance to this area, is represented on the pou on the right hand side. The pou on the left shows Mary Ann Baigent, founder of Wakefield School.
